Graphics software varies widely. Some programs, like Microsoft Paint, are simple. Others, like Adobe Photoshop or GIMP, can create sophisticated graphics. </span><br style="color:#616161;font-family:"open sans";font-size:14px;line-height:21px;background-color:#ffffff;"><br style="color:#616161;font-family:"open sans";font-size:14px;line-height:21px;background-color:#ffffff;"><span style="color:#616161;font-family:"open sans";font-size:14px;line-height:21px;background-color:#ffffff;">Using your projector or interactive whiteboard, display the graphics software of your choice for members to see. </span><span style="color:#616161;font-family:"open sans";font-size:14px;line-height:1.5;background-color:transparent;">Ask members to identify ways to make graphic changes or edits:.</span></p></div><div class="ExternalClass77338E6F9B5449AC83995C6C99409C66"><p>Clear the screen. It's time to play Win, Lose or Draw! </p><p>Hand out the strips of paper. Announce the theme, and ask members to write their idea on a strip of paper. Then they place their idea into the hat, or other suitable device.</p><p>Select one member to begin the activity. That member should select an idea at random from the hat. Do not share what the object is with the group, just start drawing! While they create the image in the graphics software, other members should guess what it is. The first member to guess has the opportunity to draw next. Continue this way until the session has ended, or until time remains sufficient for the final activity.</p></div><div class="ExternalClassD5B05C7FEBC9439EA54E59368FA63B12"><p>In this activity, every member will draw an thematic item selected from the hat. Members should each sit at an individual computer.  If there aren't a sufficient number of computers, they should tag team a computer.  Draw an item from the hat and announce it. Members have five minutes to draw their object!</p> <p>Facilitate a Q-and-A  to identify how members have accomplished certain graphic feats. </p></div><div class="ExternalClass43B4B89209CF4052899E33177B3D7422"><p>Members or the facilitator should save members' graphic files to members' portfolios. Remind members to give the file a clear name and date, e.g., Win-Lose-Paint-Pumpkin-5-12-2014.img. These images should be uploaded into members' online portfolio and stored in an organized fashion. Help members identify an organization method (folders, tags) that works best for them and the technology they have selected for their portfolio.
